At this time of year (October & November) we are busy scarifying lawns and aerating them. Nearly every lawn should be scarified once a year if you are serious about having a good looking lawn.

This is a back breaking job that involved a lot of time so it’s not ideal for a "Trial Offer". We must come along and have a good look at the state of the lawn and ascertain the best way forward. So at this time of year we will give that free quotation, as long as we are in the area.

Trial Offer for Lawn Treatment visit (Suspended till Spring)

Most other Lawn Companies offer a “Free Lawn Survey”, we think this is a pretty thin offer, everybody has to give a free quotation.

We charge £20 for a free quotation.

We are not interested in giving free quotations, our prices are competitive and our time is precious, the person who comes around to visit you will probably be the person who always comes around to do any further lawn treatments that you required. The £20 is of course redeemable against treatment costs. We are professional lawn experts not salesmen working on a commission.

That’s why we offer you the trial offer, and the results will speak for themselves.

To attract you as a possible regular customer we are offering you a chance to test our service at a fixed price. We are therefore offering you a “Trial Offer” treatment priced at £20 (inc. VAT).

Our treatment for Spring 2009 is in two parts:

1. Application of a well balanced Spring fertiliser to give the lawn that lush green healthy appearance and feed the lawn for that essential spring growth.
2. Application of a selective herbicide to rid the lawn of the unsightly broadleaf weeds.

We can only offer this “Trial Offer” price on lawns up to a maximum of 400 square meters (that’s a big lawn about the size of a tennis court).

If your lawn turns out to be smaller than 150 square meters we will charge you less than £25

The Process to “take up” the offer

If you make an enquiry, we’ll quite happily chat about your lawn, and if you want to, we will arrange a visit to have a look at your lawn.

We’ll discuss how we can help improve it or keep it in good condition.

We’ll inspect the lawn for any problems we can spot that may need extra treatment, such as diseases or fungus, also we will advise on any mowing problems you may have.

We will asses the size of the lawn and note anything that may require special attention such as ponds, steep banks, complex beds, narrow gates, pets etc.

We will explain to you exactly how your lawn should be treated.

We’ll write all this down for you, with a timeline of when jobs should be done.

We will give you a written quotation for your perusal and we will leave you in peace.

If you wish to discuss anything further or ask us to perform a recommended treatment give us a call and we’ll book a day with you to carry out the work. (Weather permitting.)

We send all our customers a notification letter about a week in advance of treatments to remind them to leave gates open etc.

When we turn up to do the job we knock on the door, to let you know we are there, then as long as we can gain access, we get on with the job.

We may take some water from your outside tap if you have one.

When we have finished we clean up, then knock on the door and leave you the invoice, and an envelope to post a cheque back to us.

You can send us a cheque, give us your credit card details over the phone or by BACs transfer.

What we do for lawns is Fertilize (fertilizer) them or if you prefer fertilise (fertiliser) them, we kill weeds, or weed kill, or weed control. We can control moss, we can deal with lawn fungus problems such as Red Thread, Fusarium, we can do a pretty good job on fairy ring as well. We also scarify lawns and aerate them plus we aerate them by either hollow tine aeration or spiking and very often slitting. We deal with thatch and brown patches in lawns. We are very good at wetting agents, chaffer grub, leather jackets ants in lawns. Another string to our bow is wild flower meadow, a more eco friendly way of not having a lawn.
